Charity Burnett

Charity-Burnett-Ice-Cream-Party-Hat-Acrylic-Enamel-20111Charity Burnett’s work is an endearing dialog between expressionism and minimalism. She often paints culinary delights using utensils in lieu of a paint brush. The paint is flung with such vigor and skill that it appears almost to have been formed accidentally, like images formed miraculously in the debris of spilled chocolate syrup.

Charity’s mentors were Lynn Aldrich, Tim Ebner, John Millei, John O’Brien. She studied at Art Center College of Design, the College of San Mateo, San Mateo, California (Fine Art and Design) under the direction bay area artists Mark Eanes and Joe PriceBurnett was offered large scholarship awards by Parsons, Otis, CCAC, and SCIA.
