Enter a psychedelic world of mythological dreams with the art of Nathan Cartwright. This new body of work includes interactive kinetic wall sculptures and drawings following the adventures of Cartwright’s Wolf-Boy archetype. Partially inspired by his travels throughout South East Asia, the exhibit opens up a mysticism of moments of play in troubled times.
Cartwright is a Los Angeles mixed-media artist and curator. His work explores the journey of artistic creation and authentic awakenings through themes of adventure, success, failure, death, and rebirth. This philosophy is expressed in his sculptural relief paintings, which combine a Technicolor phantasmagoria with the texturally additive components of sculpture in intricate and nearly pinpoint detail.
