Roshi (Roshi Rahnmama) is an LA-based lawyer and advocate and the founder of ADVOCARTSY (Artists of Iranian origin in the US).

South Korea:

Ghana:

Kwesi (Kwesi O. Kwarteng) is a Ghanian-born artist based in Newark who makes work using textiles and fabric. The main subject of his practice is intercultural dialogue and he is often inspired by his experience as an immigrant to the US from Ghana.

Some of the artists he’s watching now are Sam Gilliam, Ibrahim Mahama, and Serge Attukwei Clottey.

Other artists to watch: Otis Quaicoe (in residence with the Rubell collection in Miami.)

Here are Kwesi’s recommendations for museums and public art institutions in Ghana: The Nubuke Foundation, Gallery 1957, and Savanna Contemporary art center. Additionally, every year the Chale Wote Festival is held in Accra.

South Africa:

Maz Mohajer is an Iranian-born digital artist who is currently living in Toronto. He is currently helping Darren Gallery in Toronto to digitize three walls in the gallery to create an immersive gallery experience.

China / Hong Kong:

India:

Recommendations for museums and public art in India: Raqs Media Collective, National Museum of Modern Art, Salar Jung Museum, India Art Fair (increasingly focusing more on artists from Southeast Asian countries), and Kochi-Muziris Biennale (focuses on contemporary younger artists).

Cuba:
